Quite often, we find ourselves  in a bit of a fashion rut and out of fresh styling ideas. And almost all of us feel like we never have enough clothes 🙂 But fret not, there’s layering to the rescue!

I think layering is one of the easiest ways to enhance a look. If you’re confused about what to wear or find that what you’re wearing looks boring, all you need to do is layer it with the appropriate outerwear and voilà, you have a brand new look going for you! You’ll be amazed at how versatile outfits become when they are layered appropriately. Also, layering doesn’t have to be restricted to winters alone. Below are a few examples of how you could use layering to create interesting looks for that night out or even a day at the beach:

FOR A NIGHT OUT

I found this gorgeous shift dress at Miss Selfridges and I’ve layered it up with a nude waterfall cape coat from Stay Fabulous. Finished the look with a slight smokey eye + my favourite red lip and strappy barely theres. The coat comes with a belt so you can always go for a belted look if you’d like to make it more formal than it is.

A DAY AT THE BEACH

Beach fashion is constantly evolving and there’s so much one can do to create stylish looks!  For a morning stroll at the beach, I styled my white denim shorts from Zara with a black tank and a black embroidered kimono from Stay Fabulous.

This summer, I was at the world-famous Paradise Beach Club at Mykonos. Needless to say, I had a lot fun styling this look for my day there. Since the weather Gods gave us a bright, sunny day in Mykonos with swimmable water temperature, I decided to style my bikini with denim shorts from Zara and a crochet halter cover-up that I bought at the night market in Mykonos. To finish my look, I went with an optional crochet back kimono from Stay Fabulous that I mostly wore while riding my quad bike around the city.
